About Us

Dr. Metzl is a licensed psychologist and board certified psychoanalyst and is a member of the Training faculty of the Kansas City Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis. 

Individuals are often unaware of the factors that determine their emotions and behavior.  Psychoanalysis is an intimate partnership in which the patient becomes aware of the source of difficulty not simply intellectually but emotionally.

Dr. Metzl has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of Attention Deficit Disorders and Learning Differences in children, adolescents, and adults.  The accurate diagnosis of these disorders is critical for appropriate psychological and remedial treatment.

Marilyn N. Metzl, Ph.D., ABPP 
Dr. Metzl is a licensed psychologist and board certified psychoanalyst.  She holds a Doctorate Degree from the University of Kansas.  She is member of the Training Faculty of the Kansas City Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis.

Volunteering her knowledge, Dr. Metzl has been actively involved in her community by providing classes and workshops for professionals, parents, schools, universities, and hospitals.
